People who know me well know that I have some kind of hang up on gravestones. No no, don’t get me wrong- its not in a creepy way, I just really see the potential for design improvements when it comes to objects and even ceremonies around death. At least here in Norway, the graveyards are dark and depressive and I really believe there is a great opportunity to redesign it into something more aesthetic but with the same ethic- and religious approach. ANYWAY, my point is: someone how have done this is Akos Maurer Klimes and Peter Kucsera together Ivanka. SEEYOU is a headstone made out of poured concrete, and as the seasons passes by the cross will be fill with rain, snow and leaves.
In this big internet jungle it's so many good and bad design blogs and websites for people like us (involuntarily curious and addicted to news feeds about everything that has to do with design and culture/events). That's why we decided to have our own blog where the idea is that we post all the fun and interesting stuff we find out there. This is where we write our hearts out!
We've chosen the name Playmedesign so everybody can look at this blog as an open playground to play in ;)
Spread the word- Let's play!
Julia
