It might seem as an easy task to design a flag, but when it comes down to it, its not only a flag but a symbol that will represent an entire nation! In 1913 a flag committee, appointed by the minister of Iceland, Hannes Hafstein, set fourth suggestions for a new national flag of Iceland, and the result is the flag they still have today. In their report there were also suggestion for the flag designs from the public. These 28 designs suggestions have now been put together in a book and they are for the first time illustrated and shown together!
In this big internet jungle it's so many good and bad design blogs and websites for people like us (involuntarily curious and addicted to news feeds about everything that has to do with design and culture/events). That's why we decided to have our own blog where the idea is that we post all the fun and interesting stuff we find out there. This is where we write our hearts out!
We've chosen the name Playmedesign so everybody can look at this blog as an open playground to play in ;)
Spread the word- Let's play!
