It is not easy to be a pioneer in the competing world of designers and already existing products. But being a designer is all about just that, thinking new! The Italian designer Francesca Lanzavecchia have done just that by creating the collection of Proaesthetics Supports. The collection present alternate views and refreshing options to inspire and change the way we look at disability and its aids. Transforming neck braces into jewelry, back-braces with tattoos, and making a cane into a portable coffee table,-she almost make it look fun to be hurt! I love designs with a good thought behind it, and as Francesca says “This is just the first step towards a revolution on how we perceive the sanity and insanity of the human body and the artifacts of illness.” Take a look at her fun and innovative work here! In this big internet jungle it's so many good and bad design blogs and websites for people like us (involuntarily curious and addicted to news feeds about everything that has to do with design and culture/events). That's why we decided to have our own blog where the idea is that we post all the fun and interesting stuff we find out there. This is where we write our hearts out!
We've chosen the name Playmedesign so everybody can look at this blog as an open playground to play in ;)
Spread the word- Let's play!
