A tribute to the cloth-pin!!
Have you ever stopped and taken a closer look at a cloth-pin? Well you should!! It is just such a clever and smart design! It’s mostly used for hanging clothes but its no end to possibly with this smart object! Today the cloth-pin comes in many variations but are normally manufactured and produced as cheap as possible. The cloth-pin was invented in the early 1800, by the Shakers and was basically a wood piece with a small distant in the middle that creates to “legs” and a gripping effect. Today we use clothespins with two interlocking plastic or wooden prongs, which often has wedged a small spring in between. This design was invented by David M. Smith of Springfield in 1853.
