Heineken- old green ideas

This "brick that holds beer" was designed in 1963 (name: WOBO- world bottle), envisioned by beer brewer Alfred Heineken and designed by Dutch architect John Habraken.
Mr. Heineken’s idea came after a visit to the Caribbean where he saw two problems: beaches littered with bottles and a lack of affordable building materials. The WOBO but unfortunately never was "picked up" as a potential product. But the thougt and idea should stand out as an example today and inspire- on how you can think further on than just user-issues, but also the after-life of the product. Nice!
